About me
Hi! I am Roberto, a Postdoctoral Researcher in Statistics at the Department of Economics, Business, Mathematics and Statistics “Bruno de Finetti” of the University of Trieste. I am interested in developing and applying Bayesian statistical methods for borrowing historical information, in replication studies, survival analysis, and sports analytics.
I earned both my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Statistics at the University of Calabria. I then pursued a Ph.D. in Statistical Science at the University of Padova under the supervision of Prof. Nicola Torelli and Prof. Leonardo Egidi, with a dissertation on Bayesian methods for borrowing historical information. During my Ph.D. journey, I had the opportunity of being visiting research scholar at the Athens University of Economics and Business under the supervision of Prof. Ioannis Ntzoufras and the University of Zurich under the supervision of Prof. Leonhard Held.
